Buccal means: put the misoprostol between the cheeks and teeth

The "friendliest" way to take misoprostol is between your teeth and gums, or the "buccal administration". This is because it can be a bit more gentle than sublingual, which provides a more intense rush of the medicine into your bloodstream.

Always allow 20-30 minutes for the misoprostol to dissolve easily with your saliva. You can swallow the remnants.

Between the cheeks and gums is gentler, and the medicine will cause cramping for 1-3 hours, depending on how your individual body responds. Buccal administration of misoprostol is also SAFEST if you are living in a country that criminalizes abortion & miscarriage.

If you do go to a hospital, there is no way for anyone to test for misoprostol in your bloodstream, and as long as you take it buccally or sublingually, there is no way anyone can detect that you took misoprostol.

REMEMBER: misoprostol is visible in the vagina for days after taking misoprostol.
